Would you like to contribute to a collaborative journaling project from the comfort of your own kitchen table or studio?

Inspired by the 1000 & 1001 Journals Projects and book http://www.1000journals.com/ by Someguy, we will be exchanging art journals and ideas across the ACT and beyond!

No previous art making or journaling experience is required! Just a willingness to design/ write/sketch/ collage/ print a page or two!

It is FREE to get involved but you must be prepared to pay for the postage when passing the journal on.

Share your experiences/ how you see the world with photos, cartoons, doodles, mail-art or any kind of 2D images - glue into the numbered journal and then pass it on. You will need to do this by mail. If you would like to join the exchange just click going to event on the Facebook Event https://www.facebook.com/events/1055046534520624/

Then: your name will be added to the list & one of 41 - A4 art journals to be sent to you!. We will let you know who to send it to next. You will get to keep the journal for two weeks before passing it on to the next eager maker. You are welcome to include others in the project during your two weeks. Full Journals will need to be returned to Ink Brush Art Therapy for display in Canberra. Please upload pics of your amazing pages to the 41 Art Journals Album on the Facebook page and/or the Instagram created for the project, before you send it on.

Remember that there are very few rules to Art Journaling, However there will be a few simple guidelines to follow. These will be pasted into the front of each journal, & are about generally respecting others i.e no abuse of other contributors, no racism, no obscene language or imagery in the journals (nudity is OK - but no porn please). If in doubt keep it positive and remember that future contributors may include families with young children. Please don't embellish or otherwise go over other contributor's work without their permission.

IMPORTANTLY you must agree to pass it on 2 weeks after receiving the journal (even if you haven't had time to contribute) to keep the project dynamic and moving. Joining the event indicates that you agree to these guidelines.

This is an experimental collaboration and everyone is welcome to contribute!.
